There are no words to describe how beloved this man was and still is in Yankees franchise history. Easily one of the greatest. Guys like Matsui only come along once in a lifetime.

In all my years of Yankee fandom, I don’t think there was another player I was more happy to see win a WS than Matsoooo! They way he dominated that last game 6 against Philly in ‘09 was stuff of legend. He basically said “Not on my Watch” 6 RBI’s later! 👏
